Loch Chon

Loch Chon is a freshwater lake on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. Loch Chon is located about 20 km west of Callander between Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in the unitary authority of Stirling.

Loch Chon is about 2.7 km long and up to 500 m wide. It lies 91 meters above sea level and is fed by numerous smaller streams. Loch Chon drained by the approximately 4 ½ km long river Chon Water in the approximately 3 km southeast to Loch Ard. In the southern part of the lake are two islands.

The lake can be taken in the pike, perch and trout, is a popular spot for anglers. The area around the lake regularly attracts many hikers and mountain bikers.
