Loch Enoch

Loch Enoch is a freshwater lake in the Scottish Lowlands. It is located about 20 km north- west of New Galloway in the Dumfries and Galloway Council Area in Galloway Forest Park. The lake is accessible by any road.

Loch Enoch has a shape vaguely reminiscent of a four leaf clover. In the lake there are several islands. Loch Enoch is at an altitude of 493 m and has a maximum depth of approximately 36 m. The surface covers about 0.5 sq km, the catchment area is approximately 1.9 km ². The lake drained by the Eglin Lane which leads into Loch Doon. The surrounding area is very popular with walkers.
