Loch Linnhe is a sea bay ( sea loch to distinguish between hole for lake ) in the Highlands on the west coast of Scotland.

Loch Linnhe has a length of about 50 km and a highly variable, increasingly tapered width. At its southwestern end it opens into the Firth of Lorn. The city of Fort William, located at the northeastern end, where the river Lochy flows. In Ballachulish branches off to the east of Loch Leven as a sidearm by Linnhe and performs almost 20 km to Kinlochleven. Since 1975, spans the narrowness of the hole, the Ballachulish Bridge and the A82 through downwards to Fort William and Inverness passable.

The Loch Linnhe is probably identical with the appearing Ptolemy river Longos.
