Lockwisch

Lockwisch is a municipality in the western part of the North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Schönberger country located in the town of Schönberg.

Geography

The community Lockwisch located in a gently undulating area between the rivers Wakenitzrestaurant and Maurine, just ten kilometers east of Lübeck.

To Lockwisch include the districts Lockwisch village, courtyard Lockwisch and Peter Berg.

History

1194 emerged the name Locwisc ( place in the bottom ) for the church today Lockwisch first time in a document, namely the Isfriedschen sharing agreement. Also, the district Petersberg there is first mentioned. The district court Lockwisch lies on the southern edge of an end moraine, which overlooks it Maurinetal by about 50 meters, here are the remains of an old Wendish fortress, which was protected by ditches and marshes. After the excavation findings, it was used from the 8th to the 10th century.
