Lofn

Lofn (from Old Norse lof " permission mildness " ) is in Norse mythology a Asengöttin.

Snorri Sturluson calls them in his Prose Edda in Gylfaginning in Snorri Chapter 34 In addition to the goddess still appears in the Þulur that were Snorri known and have been processed by him to its own mythic tale. Snorri accesses the etymology ( lof "permission" ) back, excited by the descriptions of the kennings: Lofn had been given permission by their nature of Odin and Frigg, loving men and women to connect with each other and to marry, where this was previously prohibited.
