Logan is a city in Hocking County Hocking River in the south of the American state of Ohio, about 50 km southeast of Columbus. Logan has about 7,000 inhabitants (as of the census of 2010), and is the seat of the administration of the County Hocking.

In Logan are a number of listed buildings that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places ( NRHP). These include the Town Hall of Logan and the Catholic Church of Saint John the Evangelist.

History

Logan was founded in 1816 by the then Governor of Ohio Thomas Worthington. Worthington had near the waterfall Hocking If acquired and the land for the new foundation for $ 1,000 and built two mills. 1818 Logan became the seat of Hocking County.
