LogicalDOC

LogicalDOC is a free document management system that is designed to manage documents within a company and to share. LogicalDOC is a Content Repository with Lucene indexing, and jBPM workflow different automatic import process. The system was developed using Java technology.

History

In 2006, two developers decided with experience in commercial J2EE products to create a store that Logical Objects called as a task and had the care and development of the open source project Contineo. After one year, Logical Objects decided to separate from the old project and start a completely new product, LogicalDOC. Mid-2008, the first version was put on SourceForge. The version number was 3.6, to continue the numbering of the old project. 2010 won the LogicalDOC Bossie Award in the category of document management.

The source code is distributed under the GNU LGPLv3 LogicalDOC.

Architecture

LogicalDOC was developed with JAVA technology using J2SE standard and the Tomcat Applications Servers. Therefore, it can be installed on a variety of platforms (GNU / Linux, Windows, Mac OS).

The slim architecture LogicalDOC can be used on a wide range of devices to use cloud / SaaS document management. Data can be stored in a relational database (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).

General features

A document management system manages private or Business records and makes it easier to access previous versions. It enables you to search for content by the use of full-text indexing. LogicalDOC is currently available in 15 languages. LogicalDOC can be set up so that full-text indexing for each supported language is carried out to take advantage of search algorithms that are aligned to the specific language features.
