Logit

A logit ( value) is the logarithm of odds (probability by comparing probability).

Inversion:

The formulation with the aid of the hyperbolic tangent has the advantage that it can be seen, the symmetry of the images directly.

Application

The logit function can be used for linearization of the sigmoid curves and therefore has become very important for the evaluation of ELISA curves in biochemistry. The logit is of central importance for the logistic regression.
