Loir-et-Cher

The department of Loir -et -Cher [ lwaʀeʃɛ ː ʀ ] is a French department of atomic number 41 It is in the center of the country in the Centre region and is named after the rivers Loir and Cher.

Geography

The department of Loir -et -Cher is bordered to the north by the department of Eure- et- Loir, in the north- east by the department of Loiret, in the southeast of the département of Cher, on the south by the department of Indre, on the southwest by the department of Indre -et -Loire and to the northwest by the department of Sarthe.

The most important river is the river Loire, which divides the department from the northeast to the southwest, while the centrally located capital of Blois happens. The Loir, a left tributary of the Sarthe, which flows through the department in the north, the second eponymous Cher River flows through it to the south.
