The Loiret is a river in France, which runs in the Centre region in the same Loiret.
Geography
Source du Loiret
The Loiret arises in the community of Orléans, in the southern outskirts of the newly built city district called Orléans - la-Source. The Source du Loiret (Eng. source of the Loiret ), which also bears the name " Le Bouillon " is there in the park Parc Floral. It is a karst spring, which is fed by the underground at Jargeau in the limestones partly percolating Loire. The temporary shimmering source pot has a diameter of about 21 meters and is approximately eight feet deep and filled an average of 1300 liters per second. The bed is from the water arose the Loire dependent. The straight flowing Loiret takes about one kilometer on the right accruing, even 34 km long Dhuy.
Course
The Loiret ( dt: Small Loire) drains generally in a northwesterly direction through the southern suburbs of Orléans and ends after 12 kilometers below Saint -Hilaire -Saint -Mesmin as a left tributary of the Loire.
