Lolo Pass (Idaho–Montana)

The Lolo Pass ( elevation 1,595 m) is a mountain pass in the northern Rocky Mountains on the border between the U.S. states of Montana and Idaho, approximately 40 km west-southwest of Missoula. It is located in the Lolo National Forest.

The pass was made famous by the Lewis and Clark Expedition, which the Bitterrootkette over the Lolo Trail happened ( outward journey in 1804, way back in 1806 ).

The U.S. Highway 12 crosses the ball.
