Lommerange

Lommerange ( German Lommerange Ingen ) is a commune with 284 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Ouest and the Canton Fontoy.

Geography

Lommerange is located about 15 kilometers west of Thionville on the border with the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle at an altitude 230-327 m above sea level. The municipality covers 8.06 km ².

History

The town was first mentioned in 1049 as Laumeringa and belongs since 1766 to France.

Description: Azure, a crook and a right goldbegrifftes sword with silver blade facing up to the other side and there between a golden six-pointed star. Three ( 2, 1) Passion silver nails on the head of the shield and sign foot.
