Lonari

Lonari is a Subkaste in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Main Occupations in this group were traditionally the manufacture of charcoal, salt or lime. Today, they operate mainly agriculture. It is believed that the group has developed from the warrior caste Maratha in Maharashtra.
