Londrina Esporte Clube

The Londrina Esporte Clube (short Londrina EC ) is a Brazilian football club from Londrina in the state of Paraná. The club is nicknamed Tubarão (Portuguese for: shark ), the club's colors are blue and white. The club plays its home games at Estádio do Café, which offers 45,000 spectators. Currently playing with the club in any national competition.

History

The club was founded on April 5, 1956 in Londrina, than a few recreational players attended a game between Nacional Rolândia and CR Vasco da Gama. They came to the conclusion that they would not have to necessarily go to the games of Nacional, to watch football. Instead, they decided to start their own club, the Futebol e Regatas Londrina. This closed in 1969 with the Paraná EC together, raising the Londrina Esporte Clube was born. In the meantime, were the club colors of red and white, but they were changed by President Carlos Antônio Hello Francesco during his second term of office in 1972 again in blue and white. One of the greatest successes of the club is one of the three-time success in the Campeonato Paranaense in 1962, 1981 and 1992.
