Longen

Lunging on the Mosel is a municipality in the Trier -Saar castle in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Schweich on the Roman wine road.

History

In the year 770, the Luxembourg Echternach Abbey received possessions assigned in " Longun ". From this the Prüm Abbey 830 acquired the place of the now " Longin " was called, and sold it in 1343 for 350 guilders plate and 100 pounds Trierische pennies to Archbishop Baldwin of Trier.
