Longfellow Mountains

The Longfellow Mountains in 1959 named after the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, are a broken in several places mountain range in the state of Maine, run by the West Maine, north of Fryeburg, in the east of Maine. They are part of the Appalachian Mountains and, from a purely geological, also a part of the White Mountains. One of them is Mount Katahdin, Maine's highest mountain.
