Longiano

Longiano is a municipality with 6973 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Forlì -Cesena in the Italian region Emilia- Romagna, located about 90 km southeast of Bologna and about 30 km southeast of Forlì. The main town of the municipality lies on the first hills of the Apennines south of the Po valley and is overlooked by the castle " Rocca Malatesta " of the 13th and 14th centuries. A part of the municipality lies in the plane and touches the SS 9, Via Emilia, in which many industries have settled.

The parish includes the villages of Badia, Balignano, Budrio, Crocetta, Felloniche, Massa, Montilgallo and Ponte Ospedaletto.

Adjacent communities are Borghi, Cesena, Gambettola Gatteo, Montiano, Roncofreddo, Santarcangelo di Romagna and Savignano sul Rubicon.
