Look at Life (film)

Look at Life is the first short film of the scriptwriter, producer and director George Lucas and was produced during his student days in 1965 to the University of Southern California. The one-minute montage, accompanied with alternately quiet and faster guitars, represents a compilation of images of Life magazine and was recorded with a 16 -mm black and white film.

Action

From quiet guitar sounds a war victim is accompanied shown peering through a gap of a torn-down fence. Now follow conga rhythms and rapid volley of image changes. After contiguous images of violence, politicians, political oppression and human suffering, the film pauses and the word " LOVE" is displayed. Following are numerous symbols of love. With the words " ANYONE FOR SURVIVAL ", followed by " END" the film ends.
