Loos (Nord)
Loos, Loos -lez -Lille, a French town with 20 819 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the department of Nord, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille, to Canton Haubourdin and the metropolitan region of Lille. The city should not be confused with the town of Loos -en- Gohelle, which was until 1937 only called Loos.
Geography
Loos is immediately adjacent to the southwest city of Lille and, together with Lille and several surrounding communities a closed settlement pattern.

The city hall and its City Hall tower (French Belfry, Belfry German ) are a World Heritage Site since 2005 by UNESCO.
Twinning
Loos maintains since 1978 a partnership with Geseke in North Rhine -Westphalia.
