System

Previously, these species were incorporated into the families of the Molluginaceae, Phytolaccaceae or Aizoaceae. Molecular biological studies have suggested that these species form a monophyletic group. Therefore, they are now run as family Lophiocarpaceae. The Lophiocarpaceae family was from Alexander Borisovich Doweld and James Lauritz Reveal New Syllabus of Plant Families, pp. 795, April 2007 and in Phytologia. 90, pp. 416, December 2008 set up. Type genus is Lophiocarpus Turcz.

The Lophiocarpaceae family contains only two genera with about six ways:

  • Corbichonia Scop. ( Syn: Orygia Forssk. ): With only two types: Corbichonia decumbens ( Forssk. ) Exell ( Syn: Glinus trianthemoides Heyne, Orygia decumbens Forssk, Portulaca decumbens ( Forssk. ) Vahl. )
  • Corbichonia rubriviolacea (Friedrich) C.Jeffrey
  • Lophiocarpus Turcz. ( Syn: Wallinia Moq. ): With approximately three to four species in the Capensis: Lophiocarpus burchellii Hook. f
  • Lophiocarpus latifolius Nowicke
  • Lophiocarpus polystachyus Turcz.
  • Lophiocarpus tenuissimus Hook. f

You can also find the synonym Lophiocarpus ( Kunth ) Miquel for Sagittaria L. genus as the Alismataceae Vent.
