Lord Finesse

Lord Finesse ( born February 19, 1970), whose real name is Robert Hall, is a rap veteran and a member of DITC from New York.

Biography

In 1989, Lord Finesse teamed up with his partner DJ Mike Smooth and signed a recording contract with Wild Pitch Records, on which at that time also Gang Starr, Main Source, Chill Rob G, Percee P and OC were under contract. A year later he published in collaboration with his partner DJ Mike Smooth Funky Technician his debut album. In addition to DJ Mike Smooth, worked with also DJ Premier, Diamond D and Showbiz. A short time later, Lord Finesse became the leader of New York supergroup DITC.

In 1991 he joined Lord Finesse and released Ice -T's Rhyme Syndicate Management as a solo artist on his second LP Giant Records Return of the Funky Man, that his real major-label debut is. The commercial breakthrough was however denied him and so he focused from now on producing. He produced, among others, for A Tribe Called Quest and The Fugees.

In 1996 he was on Penalty Records his third album, The Awakening, and in 2003 his album From the Crates to the Files. Lord Finesse is still with D.I.T.C. active. Together with the other founders, he is working on another album.
