Lordi's Square

The Lordi Square (Finnish: Lordin aukio ) is the central square of Rovaniemi, capital of Finnish Lapland. It is located in the center of a small pedestrian street in the center of Rovaniemi at the intersection of roads Koskikatu and Maakuntakatu. On Lordi Square is the shopping center was built in 1989 Sampokeskus.

The originally called " Sampo- Place" ( Sampo- aukio ) known space was in June 2006 in honor of the Euro Vision victory of hard rock band Lordi, whose lead singer is from Rovaniemi, renamed " Lordi Square ".
