Lorena Ochoa

Lorena Ochoa (* November 15, 1981 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican Berufsgolferin the LPGA Tour. It is considered the best golfer of all time and leads their country since April 2007, the world ranking of women.

At the age of five years, Lorena started with the game of golf, with six she won her first regional tournament and seven years, her first national. Overall, Ochoa was in the youth field 22 times and 44 times regionally nationally successful and won from 1990 to 1994 five consecutive titles at the Junior World Golf Championships. She attended two years, the University of Arizona, in 2001 and 2002 National Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year and finished at the NCAA National Championships in each of those years in second place.

Ochoa was Golfproette 2002 and first played on the second lined up North American Futures Tour, where she immediately for the great LPGA Tour 2003 qualifying tournament with three successes in their first season. In those playing you get eight finishes among the top 10, including two second places and Ochoa was subsequently awarded the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Award as best newcomer.
