Lorenz Nieberl

Lorenz Nieberl (* June 7, 1919, † April 12, 1968 ) was a German Olympic bobsleigh champion.

When Bob World Cup 1951 in L' Alpe d' Huez Nieberl won as brakeman and brakeman with the Bob pilots Anderl Ostler gold in two-man and four-man bobs in, the four-man event was completed with Xavier Leitl and Michael Pössinger. The following year, German athletes participated for the first time after the Second World War again participate in the Olympics. At the Winter Games in Oslo Ostler and Nieberl won in the two- and together with Friedrich Kuhn and Francis Kemser in the four-man event.
