Lorenz Snack-World

The Lorenz Bahlsen Snack-World GmbH & Co KG Germany ( Lorenz Snack-World, to 2001 Lorenz Bahlsen Snack Group ), established in 1999 companies in Neu-Isenburg, the snacks such as potato chips ( Crunchips ), stack of chips ( crisps ), pretzel sticks ( Saltletts - formerly Salzletten ) and peanut products (eg ErdnußLocken ) manufactures. It is named after its founder, Lorenz Bahlsen named.

Company History

The company is based in the Hermann Bahlsen hierarchy, founded in 1889. 1935 led Hermann Bahlsen's son Klaus the Salzletten first German pretzel brand one. In order to strengthen parallel to the confectionery division of hearty snacks, the Bahlsen Group acquired in 1964 Flessner KG in Neu-Isenburg; this had the first automatic production line for potato chips in Europe and served since its founding by Heinz Flessner 1951, stationed in the Federal Republic of American troops. Since 1959, Flessner KG stepped under the brand name IBU also in the German retail sector. The acquisition included the first potato chips for Bahlsen range.

In 1968 it was taken in nine vorm Wald an ultra-modern for that time chip plant in operation, 1972 saw another in Hankensbuettel. 1974/75 took the two sons of Werner Bahlsen, Werner M. Bahlsen and Lorenz Bahlsen, the company. 1999, divided the company into the Bahlsen KG in Hannover and the Lorenz Bahlsen Snack Group in Neu-Isenburg, the latter led by Lorenz Bahlsen. 2001, the division was renamed Bahlsen Picanterie Lorenz Snack-World.

In 2006 the company changed its logo: While it remained in manuscript designed, but no longer had the now traditional Bahlsen writing on. It was also dispensed with the small globe with the LSW initials. The background color changed from red to green - red - green ( Bahlsen formerly blue).

In 2009, the company had claims to around 3,000 employees and a turnover of around 450 million euros. In Europe, there are seven production sites. Among the most important brands of the company include Crunchips, NicNac 's Saltletts (until 2003 Salzletten ), peanut curls, snack hits, Naturals, crisps, Pomsticks, World Selection ( nuts), Tacitos, Party clubs and Peppies.
