Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro

Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro ( born May 1, 1735 in Horcajo de Santiago, Cuenca, Spain Province; † August 24, 1809 in Rome, Italy) was a Spanish Jesuit, who was considered a linguistic genius, exerted a great influence on the development of linguistics. He is said to have spoken nearly 40 languages.
