Loretta Harrop

Loretta Harrop ( born July 17, 1975 in Brisbane ) is a former Australian triathlete.

Career

Loretta Harrop was active as a swimmer in her youth and began at the age of 21 years to the sport of triathlon. She was in Montreal ITU Triathlon World Champion 1999. In the years 2000 and 2004, she competed for Australia at the Olympics.

2002 died in a traffic accident while cycle training her twin brother Luke Harrop - he was as a triathlete and former friend of Emma Snowsill. Loretta Harrop is married to Brad Jones and the two are now living with her son Hayden and daughter Emmerson in Seven Hills (Queensland ). In 2007, she declared the end of their active careers.

She was inducted into the Australian Triathlon Hall of Fame in April 2012 along with Emma Carney and Jackie Gallagher.
