Description

The Lorica Plumata was a scaly armor that stretched up to the thighs. He was very similar to the Lorica Squamata, but differed in the form of iron plates. While the Lorica Squamata were square, the scales of the Lorica Plumata ran too pointed or round. Hence the name of this armor comes: The pointed iron flakes remind bird feathers (Latin plumae ). Under the Lorica Plumata was worn mostly a Subarmalis. Overall, this armor weighed 15 Kg
