The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is a large sports stadium in the Exposition Park Los Angeles, California. The traditional stadium, where up to 90,000 spectators can be accommodated is also referred to as The Grand Old Lady.

The Coliseum was built in 1922 and hosted the athletics competitions in both the 1932 Olympic Games and 1984. Many other events have been held here, including the first Super Bowl in American football in 1967.

On 29 March 2008, a new attendance record was set in baseball Friendly Match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox with 115,300 viewers.

The stadium is since 1923 a venue of the football team of the University of Southern California and is equipped with 93 607 seats, the sixth largest football stadium in North America.

The stadium was also the backdrop for the film Money Talks - Money is money and used the television series 24.

Likewise, the stadium in the television series Columbo in the episode " The Iceman Cometh " occurs.

The future of the stadium and its eventual collapse after a fictitious disappearance of mankind is treated in episode 1 of season 2 of the docu-fiction series Life After People ( " The Wrath of God", USA 2010).
