Los Angeles Tennis Center

The Los Angeles Tennis Center is a tennis complex on the grounds of the University of California, Los Angeles. It was built for the 1984 Summer Olympics and opened on 20 May 1984. In her demonstration tournaments were held in tennis, after which tennis was recorded in 1988 again in the Olympic competition program. Following the tennis teams of the UCLA Bruins moved their competitions and training in the Los Angeles Tennis Center. Since 1985, the men's team played there since 1997, the women's team. 1984, 1987 and 1988 were the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship and 1987 NCAA Men 's Tennis Championship held at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. Currently, it is the venue of the LA Tennis Open. The site comprises eight lighted courts with hard surface. There are a total of 10,000 spectators, including 5,800 on the Main Court.

In 1997, also the beach volleyball World Cup took place at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
