Los Jaivas

Los Jaivas is a Chilean folk-rock group from Viña del Mar.

Band History

The band was founded in 1963. The Parra brothers met Mario Mutis and Gato Alquinta know when they were children together and started to play music. With appearances at parties they were known in their city. The former name of the group was high -bass, but this was later changed to " Jaivas ".
