Los Lagos Department

The department Los Lagos is located in the south of the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Lácar, east and south with the province of Río Negro and to the west by Chile.

The capital of the department Los Lagos Villa La Angostura.

Geography

In the north of the department is the southern part of the Nahuel Huapi National Park and the National Park Los Arrayanes.

The department Los Lagos is divided in Villa La Angostura ( a municipality of first category ), the Comisión de Fomento Villa Traful and Cuarteles Confluencia, Cuyin Manzano, El Portezuelo, huemul, Nahuel Huapi, Paso Coihue, Pichi Traful, Puerto Anchorena, Puerto huemul, Ruca Malen and Villa Llanquín.
