Los Palacios is a municipality and a city in the Cuban province of Pinar del Río.

In the municipality of 39,072 inhabitants live, which corresponds to a population density of approximately 49.7 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The main industry is agriculture of the municipios. Are grown mainly tobacco, rice, sugar cane, fruits and vegetables.

The City of Los Palacios was founded in 1760 and 1879 administrative seat of the municipios.

On 30 August 2008, Hurricane Gustav moved with gusts up to 340 km / h the city and caused heavy damage.
