Los Serranos

Los Serranos (or La Serranía ) is a comarca in the province of Valencia in Spain. Traditional capital of the sparsely populated area is Chelva, while the municipality of Villar del Arzobispo has the largest population.

Geography

Los Serranos is bounded on the east by the comarca of Campo del Turia, in the south by Plana de Utiel -Requena Hoya de Buñol and to the west by the Castilian province of Cuenca and the north by the Comarcas Alto Palancia and Gúdar - Javalambre and the Aragonese province of Teruel. In the north, the Sierra de Javalambre the Sierra del Negrete rises in the south. The extending between the mountain ranges of the country is dominated by the course of the River Turia.
