Los Teques

Los Teques is the capital of the Venezuelan state of Miranda. She had 2001 140.617 inhabitants in years.

The city was founded in 1777 and named after the Aractoeques Carabs, a local indigenous people there. On February 13, 1927, the capital of Miranda of Petare was moved.

Venezuelan cuisine

The popular in Venezuela Tequeños come from Los Teques. Tequeños are elongate, deep-fried cheese sticks, similar to the more well-known here mozzarella sticks.
