Lothar Kremershof

Lothar Kremershof ( born March 4, 1953 in Krefeld, † 1 December 2003 Tönisvorst ) was a German ice hockey player and coach.

Career

Born in Krefeld, which acted on the position of the striker, was initially active for the Krefeld EV, with whom he 1977 German runners won. He then went for the Düsseldorf EC on the ice, reached the second place in the Bundesliga with the Kremershof two more times. In the jersey the Dusseldorf the 1979/80 season with 23 goals and 57 assists in 42 games was the statistically most successful. With Dick Decloe it was in the 1980s as the most prolific striker in the Bundesliga. In 1981 the attacker back to Krefeld EV, for which he laced up the skates in 1985. His playing career was the German national team finally end the evening with Neuss SC. While working as a coach, he was a great patron of youth work at Krefeld EV. He also coached the Neuss SC and Grefrather EV, with the 1998 promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Internationally

Kremershof represented the Federal Republic of Germany at youth level at the U19 European Junior Championships in 1972, where he graduated with eight goals in five games as a goalscorer. With two international matches it was also used in the German national team.

Others

In his honor, the beginning of November the Lothar - Kremershof Cup will be played in the Rhineland hall annually.
