Lothar Mohn

Lothar Mohn ( born November 6, 1954) is a German church musician.

After studying church music at the College of Church Music in Herford he was in the years 1982-1991 Kreiskantor in the parish of Melle and cantor at St. Peter's Church Melle. He has worked since 1991 as a church music director for a large part of the parish of Hanover and as a cantor in the New Town Court and Town Church of St. John of Hanover. There he directs the choir of St. John, the handbell choir Hanover and the Hanover Senior choir. Due to his initiative held annually singalong events in the New Town Court and Town Church of St. John instead.

He was also the initiator and is currently Chairman of the Board of the Music Foundation of St. John. From 1997 to 2006 he was president of the Association of Protestant church musicians and church musicians of the Evangelical-Lutheran. Church of Hanover. From 2007 to 2008 he was president of the Association of Protestant church music and church musicians in Germany. He was co-editor of the journal " Forum Church Music " and is currently fundraising representative of the " Förderkreis for church music building work".
