Lothar Woelk

Lothar Woelk ( born August 3, 1954 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German football player.

Life

Woelk worked as a toolmaker at Blaupunkt, later in the layer system at Opel in Bochum. After changing to VfL Bochum, he was a professional football player.

Career

Growing up in Recklinghausen Hillerheide, Lothar Woelk began playing football at the local club FC Leusberg and Eintracht Recklinghausen, which he joined in the A- youth. After military service of Woelk recommended Eintracht coach " Fips " Schulte young players finally to the former VfL coach Heinz higher.

Together with Michael Lameck, Walter Oswald and Franz -Josef Tenhagen Woelk was for many years one of the top performers of the VfL ​​Bochum in the Bundesliga.
