The Lots Road Power Station was a coal-fired power plant on the Lots Road in London, close to the River Thames in Chelsea. From 1905 to 2002 she supplied the London Underground with electrical energy.

This allowed the Metropolitan District Railway (now the District Line ) to electrify their lines and give the steam operation. Around the same time built the Metropolitan Railway (now the Metropolitan Line) their own power plant, the Neasden Power Station.

After its completion in 1905, the plant was considered to be the largest that had been built up to that point. The power plant consumed per day 700 tons of coal and generated an electric line of 50 MW at a generator voltage of 11 kV and a frequency of 25 Hz Gradually, were in addition to the District Line and all other subway lines and most trams EBU with current driven from the power plant. Mid-1960s was a partial conversion to gas, and oil could be burned if necessary. The power plant was until October 21, 2002 in operation, when the plants had reached their maximum life. Since then, the power is supplied via the national grid, National Grid.
