Lotsawa
Lotsawa (Tibetan: lo tsa ba) is a Tibetan title for a translator.
The following persons have the title Lotsawa:
- Gö Lotsawa (1392-1481), author of the Blue Annals
- Lotsawa Marpa (1012-1097), one of the translators, who founded the traditions of the New Translation in Tibet in the 11th century
- Nampar Nangdze Lotsawa ( 8th century ), an important translator of Buddhist teachings at the time of the first phase of translation of Buddhist scriptures from Sanskrit into Tibetan
- Tibetan People Name
