Lou Adler

Lou Adler ( born December 13, 1933, Chicago, Illinois) is an American producer, manager and managing director.

Adler was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in East Los Angeles in a mixed Jewish and Mexican family. In 1964, Adler record label Dunhill Records. He was president of this label as well as the chief producer of 1964 until 1967. Effective October 1, 1965, he took at the Dunhill Folk rock band The Mamas and the Papas under contract, which has led to a rapid increase in sales. In 1972, he won two Grammy Awards as a producer of the song It's Too Late by Carole King.

Lou Adler married 1964, the actress and singer Shelley Fabares and produced several of their songs. They separated in 1966, but were not officially divorced until 1980. Today Lou Adler is married to Page Hannah, the younger sister of actress Daryl Hannah. The couple has four sons named Manny, Ike, Pablo and Oscar.

In 1978, he was with the film Much ado about nothing his debut as a director.

Adler, Sam Cooke, Herb Alpert wrote the song (What a) Wonderful World, ( appeared a song with the same title also in 1968 (Louis Armstrong ) ) 1960 appeared.
