Lou Fine

Louis " Lou " Kenneth Fine ( * 1914 in New York; † July 24, 1971 ) was an American cartoonist and illustrator.

Fine, who was suffering early polio, studied at the Grand Central Art School and the Pratt Institute and was of the drawings Dean Cornwell, JC Leyendecker and Heinrich Kleys affected. Fine recorded in 1936 Wow, What a comic and worked from 1938 for Will Eisner and Jerry Iger to Stuart Taylor and Count of Monte Christo. Later, he drew comics, such as Black Condor and Uncle Sam, before he began in 1940 to work as a strip artist and illustrator for magazines such as Liberty and American Weekly. Interrupted by his military service from 1942 to 1945 drew Fine so, among other things Strips The Thropp Family and Space Conquerors and Adam Ames and Peter Scratch. Louis Fine, who had lived his life with his mother, died in 1971.
