Lough Sheelin (Irish: Loch Síodh Linn, " Lake of the elves pond ") is a calcareous waters on the borders of counties Westmeath, Meath and Cavan Ireland. It is located near the towns Finea and Granard ( County Longford ). Inflow and outflow is the River Inny which flows downstream through Lough Derravaragh to Shannon.

The fish stock of the lake consists mainly of trout, their natural constituents in recent years, however, so went back to the Irish Central Fisheries Board began a large number, to revive the sport of fishing again. Now living back about 100,000 trout in the lake.
