Louie Austen
Louie Austen ( born September 19, 1946 in Vienna) is an Austrian pianist, accordion player, guitarist, Bar and Jazzcrooner. He is resident in the electronic music scene for some time.
Life and work
At the age of eight years, Alois McClelland an accordion wish. Although he proved himself as a talent at a young age, his parents insisted on a classical education. After high school he began to study engineering, which he soon broke off. He moved to the Conservatory Vienna to pursue the study of singing and acting. After graduating wandered Louie Austen, as he calls himself later, to South Africa. There, however, he did not last long, since he opposed the policy of apartheid, and moved to Australia. Subsequently, he landed in New York, until he finally settled in Las Vegas. There he went on the footsteps of the great entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. and celebrated, among other things with the band " The Harlem Blues & Jazz Band " great success.
After six years abroad, Louie Austen came in 1980 back to Austria and started the Hilton hotel as Barsänger, but was lured away shortly afterwards from the Marriott Hotel.
1999 there was a new project - the connection of club sounds of Mario Neugebauer and his Croonerstimme. In this context, the debut album Consequences built on cheap records. Due to the surprising success, he gave up his job as Barsänger and focused entirely on his albums and performances in front always becomes larger audience. Mario Neugebauer and Patrick Pulsinger produced after two more albums for Louie Austen in cooperation of cheap records with Kitty - Yo, and published in 2006 a "Best Of " album of this collaboration in England at Tirk records, because since 2004 go Austen, Pulsinger and Neugebauer separate ways.
For his latest album " Iguana " ( published in 2006 by small records ) gathered Louie Austen various producers, including Jeff Melnyk, Friction, Phonique and the Vienna Stefan Jungmair.
2007 founded Louie Austen his own label LA MUSIC ( Louie Austen Music) on which are published up to now three EPs: The " Summer Love EP, which was created in collaboration with Senor Coconut " Reality EP " ( Richard Sanderson cover version ) and 2008, with Ex - Blum field keyboardist and Commercial Breakup Vredeber Albrecht recorded " Too Good To Last EP". With Senor Coconut Louie was on "Around The World" tour across Europe and has worked on her eponymous 2008 album.
In the 2008 Oscar for best foreign film winning "The Counterfeiters / The Counterfeiters " directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky ( " anatomy " ) can be seen Louie Austen in a supporting role as casino gamblers and has enjoyed success at the Vienna Burgtheater in a new production of Nestroys piece " fear of hell ", which was added to the program in the summer of 2009.
Published in 2009 Louie Austen love letter to Amy Winehouse, who produced Parov Stelar of " MyAmy / Flying Away EP".
2010 appeared on Austen's own label LA Music the " Paris / Make Your Move Remixes ", and a new double album consisting of album & remix album called " Last Man Crooning / Electrotaining You! " and another single, " I Wander / Now Or Never Remixes ".
He still travels regularly around the world, but is also the Cascade Bar of the Vienna Marriott hotels remained faithful. Every Saturday since October 2008 Louie 's Saturday with a changing program, including Best of the Rat Pack.
