Louis Barillet

Louis Barillet ( born February 13, 1880 in Alençon, † December 1948 in Clamart ) was a French painter, medalist and glass painter.

Life

Louis Barillet studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux -arts in Paris with the painter Jean -Léon Gérôme. He then worked as a medalist. In 1919 he started his own business with a workshop for glass painting in Paris. He worked with Jacques Le Chevallier and later with Théodore Gérard Hanssen ( 1885-1957 ). Louis Barillet was a member of the Union des artistes modern, which was founded in 1929 by the architect Robert Mallet -Stevens and existed until 1958. According to the plans of Robert Mallet -Stevens 's studio and home of Louis Barillet (No. 15 Square de Vergennes ) was 1931/32 built in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
