Louis Clarke

Louis Alfred " Pinky " Clarke ( born November 23, 1901 in Statesville, North Carolina; † February 24, 1977 in Fishkill, New York) was an American track and field athlete and Olympic champion.

1923 won Clarke, a student at Johns Hopkins University, the NCAA championships over 100 yards. In the VIII Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924 he won the gold medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay with a new world record, along with his team-mates Loren Murchison, Frank Hussey and Alfred LeConey, ahead of the teams from Great Britain ( silver) and the Netherlands ( bronze).
