Louis Gernet

Louis -Jules Gernet (* 1882 in Paris, † 1962 ibid ) was a French Hellenist and anthropologist.

Louis -Jules Gernet was until after the Second World War, Professor of Classical Philology in Algiers. In 1948, he was in the seminar for legal sociology at the École pratique des hautes études appointed to Paris, where he taught historical anthropology of ancient Greece.
