Louis, King of Etruria

Duke Ludwig I. Ferdinand Philip of Parma (* August 5, 1773 in Piacenza, † May 27, 1803 in Florence) was the first king of the newly created Kingdom of Etruria.

Life

Son of the Duke Ferdinand of Parma (1751-1802) and his wife Archduchess Maria Amalia of Austria (1746-1804), daughter of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresia and Franz Stephan of Lorraine.

On August 25, 1795 he married in Madrid, the only 13 -year-old Infanta Maria Josefa Antonieta Vicentia Louisa ( 1782-1824 ), daughter of King Charles IV of Spain and his wife Princess Maria Louise of Bourbon -Parma, daughter of Duke Philip and his wife Princess Louise Elisabeth of France.
