Louis L'Amour

Louis L' Amour (born 22 March 1908 in Jamestown, North Dakota, † June 10, 1988 in Los Angeles; civil Louis Dearborn LaMoore ) was an American writer who is known primarily for his Western novels worldwide. He also wrote under the pseudonym Tex Burns.

Life

L' Amour broke the school from 1923 to 1942 and earned doing odd jobs for a living: He worked at this time in both the United States and in Asia, as well as on the high seas. In the 1930s, he published his first poems in 1939 and his first short story. From 1946 he wrote propagated stories that were located in the Western genre. In 1950 he published his first novel under his pseudonym Tex Burns. He wrote after the success of his novel The Gift of Cochise, who calls under the title Man Hondo was filmed, 1953-1988 more than 100 Western novels. His novels have been translated into over 30 languages. In total, more than 260 million copies have been sold.

On July 10, 1988 L' Amour passed away at the age of 80 of complications from lung cancer.
