Louis-Marie de Blignières

Louis -Marie de Blignieres (* 1949 in Madrid; actually Olivier Le Barbier de Blignieres ) is the reigning Prior of altritualistischen Catholic Fraternité Saint- Vincent- Ferrier.

After his schooling in Paris (1956-1967) Olivier de Blignieres 1967-1972 studied at the École Sainte -Geneviève de Versailles and at the Faculté des Sciences d' Orsay. The years 1972-1975 he spent in a Swiss Benedictine monastery. He completed his theological studies from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and was ordained in 1977 by the former Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre a priest.

In 1979 he founded the Fraternité Saint- Vincent- Ferrier in Chémeré -le- Roi ( Mayenne, France), which refers to the traditions of the Dominican Order and also its ancient religious liturgy (as of 1962) celebrates. At times he was close to Michel Louis -Bertrand Guérard of Laurier and his sedisvakantistischen views. In 1988, de Blignieres and his Fraternité against Marcel Lefebvre presented (1988 excommunicated; † 1991) and were picked up by the Papal Commission Ecclesia Dei in "full communion of the Catholic Church." In 1998 and again in 2004, Father Louis -Marie de Blignieres was elected prior of the monastery of Saint-Thomas d'Aquin in Chéméré.

He is the son of the French war hero and OAS responsible Hervé Le Barbier de Blignieres (1914-1989) and brother of operating in the environment of the Front National publicists Hugues Keraly (actually Hugues -Emmanuel Le Barbier de Blignieres ) and of Father Bruno de Blignieres ( Arnaud Le Barbier de Blignieres ) the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.
